Sloppy Joes
Sloppy Joes don't have to come from a can. We use our grass-fed ground beef for this easy weeknight meal.

- 2 lbs grass-fed ground beef
- 1 12 oz tomato paste
- 1.5 cup Ketchup
- 1/4 cup onion minced
- 1/4 cup bell pepper seeded and diced
- 2 TBSP sweet relish
- 2 TBSP brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 2 TBSP apple cider vinegar
- 1 TBSP olive oil
- 1 pinch salt and pepper
Sprinkle the salt and pepper on the ground beef.
Brown the ground beef in the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the onion and bell pepper and cook until onions are transparent.
Sprinkle the brown sugar, garlic powder, chili powder, and sweet relish over the meat.
Stir well and cook one minute more.
Add the tomato paste, vinegar, and ketchup and stir until well-combined.
Reduce heat to medium-low and let the meat mixture simmer about 5 minutes.
Serve on a toasted bun.
