Sloppy Joes are one of my summertime faves. They are a family favorite and they don’t always have to come from a can. I like to make them from scratch and I savor all the flavors within them. The good news is you can make them using pantry staples for the most part and they come together quickly.

We use our Grass-Fed Ground Beef as the main ingredient and add just a few ingredients from my pantry and fridge and a few fresh ingredients from our garden. If one of us makes homemade buns we are golden. If not, I love it on a store-bought onion roll or bun and it is still delicious.

You really can’t go wrong with Sloppy Joes for the whole family, or for a crowd. Let it simmer down and soak in all that Sloppy Joe goodness. I think you’ll never buy it in a can again.

Bonus: if you have picky eaters and have a hard time getting them to eat their veggies (like I do) this is a great meal/sauce to slip in some hidden veggies. You can purée some carrots or zucchini into this and no one will ever be the wiser.

This is great on a toasted bun. I prefer an onion roll bun and I serve it with fries.
